Angela Carranza studied art and design at the University of Houston. She graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and a minor in Studio Arts, in which she not only studied but also practiced fine art and design principles.
She has been active in the Interior Design field for over 9 years. Her first position as an interior design coordinator for a corporate design firm focused on model home construction and interiors where she also executed specialty faux finishes, murals and stencil work. Angela has worked for Leslie Robinson Decor for 7 years in an ever-expanding role: first as a Design Assistant and later as lead Operations & Project Manager. Her current position as a Creative Design Consultant focuses on creative design solutions for small space interiors as well as providing visualization services, art consulting and art inventory management for private collectors.
Angela is also active in the Houston Arts community serving an Arts Marketing Assistant for the Houston non-profit arts organization 'Fresh Arts'. In March of 2013, she curated her first art show titled Cultivated Artefacts in the pop-up gallery space at 4411 Montrose, home to some of Leslie's favorite galleries including the Anya Tish Gallery and Barbara Davis Gallery.
Angela is also an active animal welfare advocate and volunteer for Barrio Dogs, Inc. where she utilizes her graphic design and communications skills to save the world... one puppy at a time.

Leslie Robinson's career as an interior designer has evolved over the course of her lifetime. Always impecably dressed and fashion foward, Leslie was born with a keen eye for design. Her home has been carefully curated over the years with a modern, yet eclectic mix of furniture and world class art. In fact, Leslie Robinson Decor began as an offshoot of Leslie's personal sense of art-inspired design found in her Houston home. Truly a work of art itself, the Robinson’s home was featured in a four-page spread in the November 2007 issue of Paper City, Houston.
An avid art collector, voracious reader, and world traveler, Leslie strives to infuse each project with her seemingly boundless design knowledge, wide-ranging experience, and unerring sense of personal style. Of equal importance to the design process are the close-knit relationships that Leslie forms with her clients.
With this intimate partnership in mind, Leslie’s style extends well beyond her own personal tastes to incorporate a sense of gracious and comfortable spaces with an emphasis on her client’s unique interests, needs for daily living and entertaining, and their personal art collections. Clients return again and again as those needs evolve and as their families and lives change.
When Leslie's not working on design projects (or shopping at TJ Maxx), she can be found hiking, biking, golfing, traveling and just enjoying life to the fullest... all with a glass of red wine in hand!
